for all your Calisota needs
- feel free to specify '91 canon, comic canon, or 2017 AU! -

1. Road Trip
Wherever you're headed, it's an awfully long way to go crammed into your vehicle of choice (blue station wagon, Ratcatcher sidecar, Time Top, Thunderquack, Sun Chaser, Scrooge's limo...). Don't make whoever's driving turn this thing around!
2. If It Weren't For The Weather
Is it raining? Snowing? Random sandstorm caused by some nefarious FOWL device? Whatever it is, we're not going anywhere. Better find some way to pass the time. Solitaire? Board games? Indoor extreme racquetball?!
3. When There's Trouble
Are you a villain? DO YOUR WORST HERE.
4. You Call D.W.
Are you a hero? LET'S GET DANGEROUS.
5. That Pesky Secret Identity
Come one, come all, to whatever social function requires dragging to this time: neighborhood barbecue? School play? Community food drive? Birthday party? Coffee run?
6. Your Basic D.I.D
Feel like being saved? Put yourself in peril here.
7. I Meant To Do That
The "this random hero/villain just wrecked my car/house/food truck" scenario. Oops?
8. Should Have Taken That Left Turn At Albuquerque
Another dimension? Another time? Either you're suddenly in St. Canard or Duckburg, or someone from one of the two just landed beak-first in your purvue. This ought to be interesting.
9. Wild Card
What it says on the tin!

Date: 2019-10-06 01:13 am (UTC)And in her defense, she hadn't really meant to be out that late. But naturally her phone had died while she'd been out wandering, getting a good look at the city, and getting lost in the process. She doesn't think much of the sound of a motorcycle until it stops at the curb beside her, and she glances at the caped figure with a raised brow.
There was probably something she was supposed to know about the guy...who had been talking about someone wearing a cape and a mask? Dewey? Hmm...]
That depends on if there are any 24-hour places around here.
OOC: idea
Date: 2019-09-28 12:34 am (UTC)Trapped at home, or do they both make excuses to sneak out then help stranded people. Leading to 1 drenched hero once he gets back home? (Giz doesn't fare too well in the rain either but at least he's dry). Leading to Fenton making him some boxed Lipton's chicken noodle soup (not a knock on it - it's pure comfort food to me, + he probably what he grew up on it ^.^;;)??
eta: (this doesn't have to be shippy. They can be friendly or tolerating each other at best ^.^; )
Sound okay? Ideas/comments?

Date: 2019-09-30 07:25 pm (UTC)Well that was an absolute disaster in just about every sense of the word.
[Darkwing addressed the empty house at large as the armchairs spun to a stop, sending water droplets scattering across the living room. he grabbed a blanket off the back of the couch and trudged upstairs to his bedroom, already beginning to towel off his soaked feathers.]
As if that ghastly gladhand Fenton showing up unannounced wasn't bad enough, then Gizmoduck crashes my big hero moment? No. No no no. Worst. Day. Ever.
[he shut the master bathroom door behind him and wriggled out of his sopping costume, slinging it over the shower curtain rod and reaching for the comforting embrace of his favorite bathrobe.]
I'b just godda go dowbstairs ad pud some coffee on ad watch Thunderorb or sobethig. ... UGH. Great. Now I'b godda code too. Fantasdig.

Date: 2019-09-30 09:12 pm (UTC)Well that whole thing could have gone better... [he mumbled lowly to himself. Gizmoduck generally didn't fare too well in the water. There wasn't nearly enough to short out his systems or anything, thank goodness... but it still caused the odd glitch here and there. What was worse, though, was when the odd water droplet got past the seams in the armor, and got inside the suit. Especially the neck seam. It was very uncomfortable to have cold droplets of water trickling down your back, and being unable to do anything about it. Also flying in the driving rain was no fun. He could still fly, but his helicopter blades sent the water spraying everywhere, and it didn't help with the poor visibilty. He had the little windshield wiper going on his visor almost the entire time he was out there! Well... at least they'd managed to help all the stranded people, in the low-lying section of town.]
[Now he was just standing outside of Drake's door, shivvering, and realizing that as a visitor, he had no key. He rang the doorbell, then knocked quickly on the door.] Ahh... Drakearoonie? It's Fenton. I'm back. Can you let me in?

Date: 2019-10-01 08:13 am (UTC)[He trails off, eyes growing wide as Drake's words and state of being finally register to him. Dropping his suitcase and bag on the floor, he immediately goes into mother-hen-mode, and ushers Drake towards the couch.] Go sit down! Get comfy! You should be resting in that condition! When did it even hit you? [Drake hadn't looked sick before... Maybe it was one of those 24-hour-flu things that came up on you quickly, or something.] Where are your blankets? I'll go grab one. Wrap yourself up in it. You're in luck! I just picked up the perfect thing when I was out! Hot chicken noodle soup is the best thing for the common cold! You just stay there and get comfy, I'll have that soup whipped up for you in 10 minutes! ... Well, whisked up, not whipped. You don't whip soup. I'll be right back!
[And with that, Fenton dashed off, first grabbing his shopping bag to take it into the kitchen. Drake would be able to hear the cabinet doors opening and closing, as Fenton was looking for a pot, soup bowl and spoons. Then he was rushing upstairs, only to come back downstairs in the next second, poking his head back into the frontroom.] Where do you keep your blankets again? Got a favourite?

Date: 2019-10-03 03:27 am (UTC)Drake was very glad he didn't have any torpedoes. at least not at the house. he sank onto the couch]

Date: 2019-10-04 08:28 pm (UTC)[Once that was settled, Fenton headed back towards the kitchen.] Okay! It'll take about 10 minutes for the soup to be ready. ... Are you allergic to oregano or chili flakes? [Dashing into the kitchen, Fenton began to prepare the soup, bringing the pot of water to a boil before dumping the contents of the package in, as well as shaking in a bit of the spices, if Drake said he didn't mind them. Giving it a quick whisk, he put the lid on the pot and set the burner to simmer. Noticing the kettle already prepped nearby, Fenton poked his head back into the frontroom.] You want coffee, tea, or hot chocolate?
A little confusion of loyalty?
Date: 2020-06-24 10:15 pm (UTC)Why in the world was she there? Honestly it was not what she wanted to be doing, meeting with Negaduck was never pleasant but he'd called her said he needed her help. What could she do? She was trying to be the good guy now, and that meant helping others.
If he had reformed, or wanted to wasn't it her responsibility to at least reach out to him?
The meeting had been brief, she'd been moved by his uncharacteristic humility. He'd even taken off his hat and looked ashamed of his evil doings. So she'd agreed to help him, and left that clandestine meeting with a worried, but hopeful countenance.
It would be just her luck if a caped crime fighter happened to see the end of the exchange and mistake the intentions. Or worse tell her she was wrong for trying to provide outreach.
What a pickle this could be.

Date: 2020-06-25 04:37 am (UTC)What he hadn't expected was who the other half of that meeting turned out to be. His jaw dropped slowly at the sight of Morgana, and even if he had been able to hear through the thick, industrial-strength glass, he wouldn't have registered a word of it. Morgana - his Morgana, or at least sometimes he thought maybe she still was? - in cohorts with his most vile and villainous enemy? Again? Cooler heads would have prevailed and said there had to be some explanation. Cooler heads would have chosen to follow Negaduck again once the meeting was over. But instead, Darkwing left before the whole thing would even be finished, and made a beeline back to the Ratcatcher, which he drove at top speed to beat her back to Macawber Manor.
When Morgana arrived, she would find him sitting nonchalantly on the steps, sheltered from the perpetual downpour in her front yard. "Thought I'd come and surprise you," he said, his voice just a little too high and casual. "Wasn't expecting you to be out..."

Date: 2020-06-27 04:58 am (UTC)She was startled by Drake's presence there, so much so she drew to a sudden stop and gasped. "Oh, Dark. Well... I was...out."
Negaduck had asked her not to say anything for fear others wouldn't believe him and that it might sabotage his efforts to turn over a new leaf.
"Yes, I was out of, um, well ingredients for something and I thought I'd just pop out and get some. I didn't know you'd be by, did we have plans and I forgot?" He smoothed back her hair and tried to look relaxed.

Date: 2020-08-17 02:59 pm (UTC)All that angry, nervous energy had to go somewhere, and he tapped his foot incessantly, one eye twitching. He thought he still looked composed. Somehow.
"Out of what, exactly?"
no subject
Date: 2020-08-20 03:01 am (UTC)"I can't lie to you. Oh Dark, someone has asked me for help. And they are like I used to be. I have to believe they can change because I did. But I was afraid if you knew you'd be angry or maybe things wouldn't work." Morgana drifted a step back and turned away, to ashamed to even look at him.
She'd tried to be good, tried not to hex or curse people. She'd even started a community garden! Granted some of the plants were a bit more lively than others, but still, that was a net positive right? So why was it by trying to help someone turn over a new leaf she felt like she was doing something wrong, again?
