Multiversal Museum Exhibit - Ryslig
Aug. 30th, 2021 07:42 pmDarkwing's exhibit is an extension and renovation to Gosalyn's. Where her exhibit once only held the two chairs from their living room, now a strip of blacktop beneath the Ratcatcher separates the training kitchen from a perfect replica of the Mallards' living room:
The walls hold a family portrait, as well as a TV that is constantly cycling through clips of news footage featuring some of Darkwing Duck's more noteworthy victories over villains such as Taurus Bulba, Steelbeak, and The Fearsome Five. There is no sound, however.
On one blue chair there is a tattered, threadbare white scarf, and someone has lain a bouquet of marigolds next to it. They're never wilting, and never fake: someone takes the trouble to replace them frequently. There is also a red arcade console where the archway would normally lead to the foyer: WHIFFLE BOY. It's playable. Anyone from Earth circa the late 80s will find the play remarkably similar to Donkey Kong.
The gift shop sells fake beaks on elastic bands, toy replicas of Darkwing's gas gun and plane (both not to scale - the plane is six inches wide and the packaging says it it should be "used for secret messages"), and ... of course ... signed 8x10 glossies of the hero himself.
