Darkwing is a smol manticore, only about five feet tall. This is still an improvement on being just taller than 4" as a duck. What he lacks in size he makes up for in speed and agility: he can leap between buildings easily, making rooftop patrols one of his favorite things to do in his spare time. He also has enhanced senses of sight, hearing and smell.
The fur on his torso and body is a pale lilac that matches the color of his costume, and he resembles a tabby cat with ridiculous amounts of cheek fluff and a mane. A darker purple stripe on his face takes the place of his mask. His ears are the same color as the rest of his fur, and he usually wears a grey fedora with holes cut near the crown to allow them to poke through.
His eponymous wings are bat-like in construction. They are a deep, dark purple, though the area between the wing segments on the inside is a bright magenta, once again in mimicry of his old costume. His scorpion tail is the same dark purple, a glossy carapace that can look closer to black in half-light or darkness.
As far as clothing, he tends to wear double-breasted jackets or sweater vests tailored to allow for his wings. The jackets are usually either purple, teal, or gray, and his sweater vests range in shades of green, pink, or dark blue. In regards to the latter, he's particularly fond of argyle patterns.
