Why in the world was she there? Honestly it was not what she wanted to be doing, meeting with Negaduck was never pleasant but he'd called her said he needed her help. What could she do? She was trying to be the good guy now, and that meant helping others.
If he had reformed, or wanted to wasn't it her responsibility to at least reach out to him?
The meeting had been brief, she'd been moved by his uncharacteristic humility. He'd even taken off his hat and looked ashamed of his evil doings. So she'd agreed to help him, and left that clandestine meeting with a worried, but hopeful countenance.
It would be just her luck if a caped crime fighter happened to see the end of the exchange and mistake the intentions. Or worse tell her she was wrong for trying to provide outreach.
A little confusion of loyalty?

What a pickle this could be.
